[ARCHIVED] Holbrook-Palmer Park Swing Set Repairs

playground_repair_thumb.jpg

The swing sets at the Playground in Holbrook-Palmer Park are in need of repair. You may have noticed that for the past week or so they have been closed. They will remain temporarily closed until the Town identifies funding and repairs. It is estimated that the cost of repairs could total as much as $15,000 depending on the type of structure and replacement. The Public Works Department is working with the designated vendor for options. This is an unplanned expenditure for the current fiscal year.

The Playground was originally installed through the generous donations of residents but the contribution was a one-time contribution and did not include regular maintenance or replacement. If you are interested in contributing toward repair or replacement of the structure, you may contact the Holbrook-Palmer Park Foundation, Atherton Dames, members of the Parks & Recreation Commission or the Town's Public Works Superintendent Steve Tyler.

Steve direct contact is styler@ci.atherton.ca.us or via phone at 650-752-0541.
