At their June 18 meeting City Council approved a resolution calling the Election on November 4, 2014, for the purpose of electing three members of the Atherton City Council to four year terms which will expire during the month of December, 2018.
The Town is developing a candidate handbook that will be available during the nomination period. The nomination period opens Monday, July 14, 2014, at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m., on Friday, August 8, 2014, unless an incumbent does not file. In the event an incumbent does not file by 5:00 p.m. on August 8, the filing period will be extended to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
The County of San Mateo holds candidate seminars and a voter data seminar to help you understand your responsibilities and resources for the November 4, 2014 Statewide General Election. It is highly recommended that candidates attend the seminars. Below are the dates:
