[ARCHIVED] July 4/No Fireworks in Town Permitted

Fireworks can bring special meaning to the Fourth of July. However, they can also cause serious injury and start dangerous fires. Fireworks are illegal within the Town of Atherton, but there are several majestic fireworks displays planned for the Peninsula area this year.

For more information on fireworks, contact the Bureau of Fire Prevention and Life Safety at (650) 522-7940.

If you become aware of an issue during July 4, please contact us immediately. Also remember that this time of year is stressful for pets who may run away due to loud noises. If you have the ability to keep your pet indoors during the evening hours of the holiday, please do so.
