Motorists:
• The speed limit is 25 miles per hour in school and residential zones;
• Do NOT use the bicycle lanes to pass/overtake;
• Do NOT cross over double yellow lines to pass/overtake;
• Watch for and yield to pedestrians crossing in crosswalks;
• Do NOT pass/overtake vehicles that are stopped at any marked or unmarked crosswalks;
• Come to a complete stop at stop signs and look in all directions before entering intersections;
• DO NOT TEXT OR USE CELLULAR PHONE WHILE DRIVING unless hands-free (Under 18 - do not use at all while driving);
• Do NOT wear headphones in/over both ears;
Bicyclists:
• Remember, bicyclists are subject to the same rules/regulations as motorists;
• If you are under 18 years of age, you MUST wear a helmet and have it properly and securely attached;
• Wear bright/reflective clothing;
• Make sure your bikes are in good repair (tires, brakes, reflectors etc.);
• Ride with the flow of traffic;
• If you utilize the crosswalks, walk your bikes across;
• Obey all traffic signs and signals (You MUST stop for all stop signs and red lights);
• Use appropriate hand signals;
• Do NOT wear headphones in/over both ears;
Pedestrians:
• Wear bright/reflective clothing;
• Use crosswalks but still be aware of vehicular traffic;
• Walk against the flow of vehicular traffic;
• Obey all traffic signs and signals;
