Brittany Bernstein, a resident of San Carlos, was arrested for burglary in the unit block of Wilburn Avenue on 9-7-14 at 4:54pm. Bernstein walked into an occupied home through an open sliding glass door and was located by the residents as she stood in the kitchen. Bernstein left the residence after several minutes and was located in the side yard of another residence approximately 4 houses away.
This arrest should serve as a reminder to all residents to make sure your doors and windows are closed and locked, and your alarm system is used as needed and working properly.
The Atherton Police Department encourages you to call 9-1-1 should you see an intruder breaking into a house or a vehicle.
