Regional Disaster or Local Emergency Notifications

Dear Community,

In the event of a regional disaster or local emergency, quick efficient notification to our community with clear and accurate information is the key to keeping you and your family safe.  One of the best ways to receive regional emergency notifications is through the San Mateo County (SMC) Emergency Alert System and/or Zonehaven.  The best way to receive local emergency notifications is from the Town of Atherton's Newsflash Alert System.  These alerts can be received via cellular phone, email, text, Facebook, and Twitter.

To sign up for Zonehaven go to the following link, select find your zone, select your zone, and select subscribe to alerts: https://www.zonehaven.com/

To sign up for the Atherton local Newsflash alerts go to the following link: https://www.ci.atherton.ca.us/list.aspx

For the safety and security of you and your family, I strongly encourage you to sign up to receive SMC Emergency Alerts, Zonehaven Alerts, and Atherton Newsflashes today.  If you are already signed up, tell a friend to sign up.  This will allow your Police Department and the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services to help best protect and serve you in time of emergency and disaster.
