Police banner

FEMA, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a national test of the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) on Oct. 4, 2023.  This test will affect all cell phones that are connected to a cellular network, as well as broadcast radio and television, and is expected to occur between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM Pacific time.  All active cellular phones will emit a tone (even if silenced) and display a message indicating that the test is in progress and that no action is required.  The test will only affect each cell phone once and is expected to last one minute.  Further information about this test is available on the FEMA web site at:
