[ARCHIVED] Attempted Robbery in Atherton

An attempted robbery occurred on the unit block of McCormick Lane on 6-20-15 at approximately 12:15pm. A juvenile female was running on McCormick Lane when the suspect ran up behind her, put her into a hold, and demanded her cell phone. The victim was able to break free from the suspect and run home.

The suspect possibly has a weapon in his possession, maybe a knife. However, the victim did not get a good look at the weapon.

The suspect was described as follows:

Hispanic male, Short and stocky, 30 to 40 years old, Bald head, Brown eyes, No facial hair, Wearing dark pants.

The suspect vehicle was described as follows:

Copper colored or red-brown small truck, possibly a Chevrolet or a Ford. No license plate number was obtained.
