The City Council Meeting for December is traditionally fairly short since it is followed by a reception hosted by the new Mayor. First up on the Agenda is the City Council Reorganization where the Council rotates the Mayor and Vice Mayor positions. Usually the Vice Mayor rotates in the Mayor role and the Council selects a Vice Mayor from the remaining members. There is a presentation and reappointment scheduled for the representative to the Mosquito and Vector Control Board as well as the introduction of a new Dispatcher with the Police Department.
We have a few consent agenda items scheduled to include financial reports, a destruction of records request (pursuant to the Government Code guidelines), 2nd Reading of the Refuse Ordinance, and a Consultant Contract Award for a study at Middlefield and Oak Grove.
After the Consent Agenda is the Regular Agenda. Here, a few items are scheduled - the monthly report on the Civic Center Project, introduction of an Ordinance for Peninsula Clean Energy and authorization to pursue a Quiet Zone at the Fair Oaks Rail Crossing.
Should be a relatively quick meeting, but there are a few important issues on the docket. Hope to see you there!
