2016-02-24_21-16-28.jpg

On Feb 24, 2016 between 7:00 AM and 2:30 PM an attempted burglary occurred in the 100 block of Burns Avenue. The suspect(s) used an unknown object to break a door window adjacent to a deadbolt lock. The door was located to the rear of the residence, behind a fence. No items inside the residence were disturbed and no missing property has been identified.

Many burglaries happen during the day, when residents are out of the house. Reporting suspicious vehicles and people in the neighborhood can help the Police Department prevent these crimes. Using an alarm system, too, can help deter burglaries. Anyone with information about this attempted burglary should contact the Atherton Police Department at 650-688-6500.
