UPDATE: As of 6:30 AM March 11, 2016, Watkins Av has been re-opened to all traffic. Power has been restored to the area.

****

At approximately 11:20 PM on 3-10-16, a tree from a Lane Pl property fell on overhead telephone and cable television lines. The tension on those lines caused a PG&E power pole on Watkins Av to lean. Power was interrupted to local residents. PG&E crews are on site removing the tree and making repairs to the leaning pole.

The PG&E crew requires the entire roadway for their work.

Watkins Av is closed to vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians between McCormick Ln and Middlefield Rd.

Repairs may still be underway during the morning commute and drivers are advised to plan alternate routes.
