[ARCHIVED] Holbrook-Palmer Park - A garden in our own back yard...

day use.png
Holbrook-Palmer Park is the Town's only recreation site. It is a lovely, 22-acre garden park designed for active and passive recreational activities. It includes a recently renovated Homer Field at Willie Mays Ball Park - made possible by the generous donation and effort of the Menlo-Atherton Little League; tennis courts, a children's playground, gardens, walking paths and facilities for rental.

With a Pavilion, a Main House, and a historic Carriage House, the Park is an excellent venue for private events, parties, and social gatherings. The Town regulates rental activities, as well as, day use rentals for groups of 13 or more. There are approximately 130 parking spaces in the Park and additional space can be arranged at the nearby Civic Center for valet parking or walk-over guests.

Park_Signs.jpgWe welcome you to visit our Park! That said, there are four major Park regulations of which to be aware.
  • Hours - The Park hours are from sunrise to sunset. There are security cameras in the Park that are actively monitored by the nearby Police Department and Police Officers partol the Park on a regular basis.
  • Drones - No Model UAS (drones, model airplanes, etc.) are allowed in the Park. Commercial Drones (i.e. those licensed commercially for purposes other than hobby or recreational) are allowed but ONLY with an approved permit from the Town. A drone permit may be obtained in connection with a rental permit for weddings and other social gatherings so long as the operator has a commercial license.
  • Bicycles - Bicycles may be operated on the roadway (obeying all vehicle laws). Bicycles may not be operated on the pathways and sidewalks, except between the south pedestrian bridge, Ball Field, and Felton Gables Gate near the Tennis Courts. Bicycles on other areas of the pathway are prohibited.
  • Dogs - All dogs must be on a leash at all times. Owners of pets found off-leash will be cited $100.
