[ARCHIVED] Train Collision - Watkins Avenue Reopened

Due to a non-injury collision- train vs. vehicle, Watkins Avenue was closed.

On 2-10-18 at 8:10PM, a southbound CalTrain express train struck an unoccupied vehicle which had become stuck on the tracks near the Atherton train station. The investigation into the collision and the clearing of the debris required Watkins Avenue to be closed to through traffic for approximately 3 hours. Watkins Avenue reopened to through traffic at 11:06 PM.
