Students from several schools in Atherton will conduct a march and protest on 3-14-18 beginning at 10:00am. Traffic will be heavily impacted on several streets between Atherton and Palo Alto. Take alternative routes to avoid congestion.
On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, beginning at 10:00am, students from Menlo Atherton High School, Menlo School, and Sacred Heart School will be conducting a walk-out and protest march from Atherton to El Camino Park in Palo Alto. The students plan on using Valparaiso Avenue, University Drive, Oak Grove Avenue, and El Camino Real.
1,500 to 2,000 students are expecting to be participating in this protest march.
Traffic will be heavily impacted on all of the streets mentioned above, especially on El Camino Real from Atherton to Palo Alto. Expect road closures, extended traffic delays, and possible detours.
Please use alternative routes to get to your destination, and try to avoid El Camino Real, Oak Grove Avenue, Valparaiso Avenue, and University Drive if at all possible.
The Atherton Police Department, the Menlo Park Police Department, and the Palo Alto Police Department thank you for your attention and understanding as we work to ensure the safety of the students and the public during this protest march.
