[ARCHIVED] Candidate Forum - Tonight, October 15th 7PM - 9PM

The Atherton Civic Interest League (ACIL) and the League of Women Voters will hold a Forum from 7PM to 9PM tonight at the Pavilion at Holbrook-Palmer Park for three candidates who are running for a council seat.

A special election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 to fill the seat vacated mid-term by former Council Member Jerry Carlson. The candidates seeking the vacated council seat are: Diane Beymer-Sandhu, a technology entrepreneur, Rick DeGolia, a partner with the private equity firm Exigen Capital, and Greg Conlon, a Certified Public Account and Businessman.

During the forum each candidate will be given the opportunity to make an opening statement. Following these statements, questions submitted by the audience, will be consolidated and asked of the candidates.

ATHERTON CIVIC INTEREST LEAGUE
A not-for-profit grassroots organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in Atherton, to assure effective Town governance and to advance the Civic Interests of its residents. Founded in 1946, the ACIL is a non-partisan organization representing the civic interests of all residents.

LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS
The League of Women Voters of South San Mateo County serve the people of Atherton, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Portola Valley, Redwood City, and Woodside
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan citizen organization which educates voters, studies and acts on important issues, trains members for leadership roles, and provides information on candidates.
