On Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 7:35 a.m., the caretaker of an
Atherton resident confronted a male suspect who entered the residence through a back door of a home on Middlefield Road.
Atherton Police Officers responded immediately, and at 7:44 a.m. an Atherton Detective Sergeant observed the
suspect in the area of Middlefield Rd and 7th Ave, in unincorporated Redwood City.
Patrol officers detained the suspect, who matched the description as provided by the caretaker. The suspect
was identified as Louis Cammiso, Jr. a transient who had been recently released
from Santa Clara County Jail after serving 45 days for petty
theft, ID theft, and possession of burglary tools. Officers discovered that Mr. Cammiso was in possession of stolen property (keys) that belonged to another Atherton resident who
also resided on Middlefield Rd.
Louis Cammiso, Jr. was booked into San Mateo County Jail for
burglary and possession of stolen property.
