Sometime
between 08/05/18 (10pm) and 08/06/18 (7am), an unknown suspect(s) entered the
Lindenwood neighborhood and committed four window smash auto burglaries, a
theft from an unlocked vehicle, and rummaged through another vehicle.
Of the four window smash auto burglaries, two occurred in the unit block of Fredrick Avenue, one on the 200 block of Greenoaks Drive, and one on the unit block of Lupin Lane. The theft from a vehicle occurred on the unit block of Wisteria Way, and a vehicle was rummaged through on Rosewood Drive.
Five of the victim's vehicles were parked in driveways, and one
was parked on the street in front of the victim's home. Four of the five
victims said they had valuables (purses, electronic equipment, gym bag) that
were left in plain view inside the vehicles.
Please remember, most thieves won't smash your car window if they don't see anything valuable to steal...so continue to lock your doors, set your alarms, and keep those valuables either inside your home our out of sight!
There are no leads at this time...if you live in the Lindenwood
area, or were there during the above time frame, and you saw anything
suspicious or have surveillance video that might help to identify the
perpetrators, please contact the Atherton Police Department at (650) 688-6500.
