Sometime between 9/13 and 9/16, two residential burglaries occurred on the 100 block of Almendral Avenue. The residences are directly across the street from one another, and in both instances, the suspect(s) used blunt objects to break glass and make entry into the homes.
In the first reported burglary, the suspect(s) used a piece of broken concrete found on the property to smash the glass of a single swing door at the rear of the property. Once inside, the suspect(s) entered several rooms in the residence, including the garage, but only took several small items, leaving laptops, tablets and other items of value behind. The suspect(s) stole gold cufflinks, and various watches valued at approximately $7,000.
In the second reported burglary, which was just reported today (9/16/2019), the suspect(s) used a concrete block to shatter a glass panel on a single door and made entry (backyard). No loss has yet been reported for this burglary.
In both cases, the burglary alarms were not armed.
