Election Day Security:
Concerns across the County have been raised regarding safety at voting locations and for election related protests or civil unrest. Within San Mateo County there have been no indications of safety concerns at voting locations and no information related to any planned election related protests. Chief Steve McCulley had the following message to residents and neighbors:
"The Atherton Police Department will be at full staff on Election Day and will be working closely with other law enforcement in San Mateo County to ensure a safe voting experience for all."
The Atherton Vote-by-Mail drop box is available 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m through Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd. Scheduled pick-up times for the drop-box are available on the Town website. The USPS mailbox is available after-hours for your ballots (All San Mateo County ballots have pre-paid postage, please see USPS blue box for pick-up schedule) For other nearby drop-box locations, visit: https://www.smcacre.org/vote-maildrop-box

Voting - How can I Vote?
The San Mateo County Elections Division has prepared a comprehensive website to educate voters on all of the ways you can vote. Voters can complete and return your Vote-by-Mail ballot that was mailed to the address on file with the Elections Division or vote in person as early as October 5th at the available locations listed on the County website. Where is the Atherton Vote-by-Mail drop-box?
The Atherton Vote-by-Mail drop-box is located at 150 Watkins Avenue, Atherton CA, 94027 | Holbrook-Palmer Park within the Town Administrative Offices. This is an indoor drop-box and office hours are currently Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm for Vote-by-Mail ballot drop offs only.
There are outdoor Vote-by-Mail drop-boxes available 24-hours a day at:

When will the Atherton Vote Center Open?
