Check out CitizenRIMS on the Town's website to see the daily happenings.
On the bottom left of the website you will see a click box to allow you to sign up for daily digest alerts. In the digest you can get general statistics about crimes that have occurred within the last 24-hours delivered to your inbox. You can zoom in and out on the map and select specific date windows.
The daily digest looks like this:
Viewing the digest on a map will take you to the CitizenRIMS website where you can click down on any of the crime pins on the map for additional information. The pin item will show you the location of the call. The date and time; as well as when the call was completed. The information will also include an incident number that you can use to connect with the PD for more detail.
On the CitizenRIMS website you can view:
- Past Crime Activity
- Current Crime Activity
- Most Wanted Lists
- Missing Persons Lists
- Stolen Vehicle Lists
- Warrants
- Arrests
- Daily Press Bulletin (where the Almanac gets its info)
- Crime Charts
You can also fill out a Vacation Home Check and have the Police Department check your property during times when it is vacant due to business or vacation.
And, most important, you can assist the PD in forensic searches by registering your private security cameras on your property. If a crime occurs in your neighborhood, the PD will know that you may have a camera that may provide a vantage point from which to identify the perpetrator.
