Town of Atherton – May 9, 2022

TOWN OF ATHERTON ANNUAL COMMITTEE & COMMISSION RECRUITMENT:

Audit and Finance Committee – 1 Vacancy

The City Council may appoint one (1) applicant to the committee:

Applicant must be a Town of Atherton resident.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 2:00 p.m.
Member appointments will be a four-year term expiring June 2026.

Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee – 2 Vacancies

The City Council may appoint two (2) applicants to the committee:

Meetings are held as needed on the fourth Tuesday of every other month at 4:00 pm. Special meetings may be called as needed throughout the year.
One (1) member appointment will be for a mid- term vacancy expiring June 2023.
One (1) member appointment will be for a four-year term expiring June 2026.

Environmental Programs Committee – 3 Vacancies

The City Council may appoint three (3) applicants to the committee:

Applicant must be a Town of Atherton resident.
Meetings are held as needed on the third Thursday of every other month at 1:00 pm. Special meetings may be called as needed throughout the year.
One (1) Member appointment will be for a mid-term vacancy expiring June 2023.
One (1) Member appointment will be for a mid-term vacancy expiring June 2024.
One (1) Member appointment will be for a four-year term expiring June 2026.

Parks and Recreation Committee – 3 Vacancies

The City Council may appoint three (3) applicants to the committee:

Applicant must be a Town of Atherton resident.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Special meetings may be called as needed throughout the year.
Two (2) member appointments will be for four-year terms expiring June 2026.
One (1) member appointment must be a member of the Holbrook-Palmer Park Foundation and will be for a two-year term expiring June 2024.

Planning Commission Committee – 1 Vacancy

The City Council may appoint one (1) applicant to the committee:

Applicant must be a Town of Atherton resident.
Meetings are held at a regularly scheduled time and date set by the commission.
Member appointment will be for a four-year term expiring June 2026.

Rail Committee – 1 Vacancy

The City Council may appoint one (1) applicant to the committee:

Applicant must be a Town of Atherton resident.
Meetings are held as needed on the first Tuesday of every other month at 6:00 pm. Special meetings may be called as needed throughout the year.
One (1) member appointment will be for four-year terms expiring June 2026.

Transportation Committee – 1 Vacancy

The City Council will appoint one (1) applicant to the committee:

Applicant must be a Town of Atherton resident.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday every other month at 6:00 pm.
Member appointment will be a for a four-year term expiring June 2026.
