Atherton Police Department News

Out of an abundance of caution in response to the COVID-19 pandemic the Atherton Police Department Citizens Academy has been cancelled.  The department plans to host the academy in the Spring of 2021 and all the applications will be rolled over to the new dates.

The census bureau has been given the go-ahead to resume population counts in Atherton. This means that there will be Census Bureau field staff working in neighborhoods and knocking on doors to make contact with residents  to complete their 2020 census questionnaire.
All Census Bureau Field staff can be identified by their Census Photo Identification.

If you become suspicious of someone claiming to be a Census Field Staff member, please call the Atherton Police Department so we can help to determine whether the person is a legitimate census employee. Contact us at 650.688.6500. For more information visit: Census Bureau in Atherton.
