Reminders for Keeping the Right-Of-Way ClearSpring is finally upon us! Recent storms brought in more water than we could handle. Such a beautiful sight to see vegetation in bloom and thriving on Town streets. A few spring-cleaning reminders for Town residents: - Fallen trees and debris must be removed and disposed of ASAP in the right of way to eliminate potential hazards to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
- Line-of-sight around corners, driveways and stop/yield signs is important for pedestrian and vehicle safety. Overhanging trees and vegetation must be trimmed back at least 10 feet from the ground to the lowest hanging limb, and at least 6 feet from the improved portion of the street.
- Vegetation on the easement/pedestrian paths (see diagram).
- Vegetation 0-3 feet from the street can only be up to 5 inches tall.
- Vegetation 3-6 feet from the street can be up to 36 inches tall.
- Vegetation 6 feet from the street can be over 36 inches tall.
- Greenwaste has assigned service days to each residence for trash, green waste, and recycling pick-up.
- Receptacles can be put out on the curb for collection: Up to 24 hours before collection (i.e. Trash day Tuesday = put on curb Monday or Tuesday)
