Town Center Closed on October 9Town Center including Contract Post Office, Permit Center, and Library will be closed on October 9 in recognition of Indigenous Peoples' Day. Police services will not be impacted. Regular hours resume on October 10.

Check Out Electric Living for Yourself!More than 40 homeowners from Brisbane to Morgan Hill are opening their homes on Saturday October 14, 2023 to display the electric appliances and equipment they have installed to replace methane gas powered products. The Electric Home Tour will take place from 10 am to 4 pm. The tour is free but requires advance registration. Register at https://bit.ly/elec-home Tour goers will have the opportunity to see energy-efficient heat pump water heaters, heat pumps for heating and air conditioning, induction cooktops, electric fireplaces, electric vehicles, EV chargers, garden equipment, and more. Homeowners and student assistants will be on hand to share information about how to switch out of methane gas to improve a home’s comfort and indoor air quality. Atherton's Halloween SpooktacularYou're invited to the Town's Halloween Spooktacular on Friday, October 27 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Atherton Town Center. Get in the spooky spirit with candy, games, food trucks, costume parade, arts and crafts, face painting, a bounce house and more!

Atherton Police Department Participate in Pink Patch ProjectThe Atherton Police Department is participating in the Pink Patch Project this October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Pink Patch Project is a public awareness campaign in which law enforcement agencies in the United States use pink versions of their agencies' patches to encourage conversations with community members about breast cancer. The pink patches are intended to stimulate awareness about the importance of early detection and the ongoing fight against this disease, and offer support to those currently affected.

Try a Class with Atherton Arts Foundation this MonthThe Atherton Arts Foundation has an incredible line up of classes for the month of October. Learn how to sew and make creative crafts like a 6-pocket lined tote bag, try floral arranging, learn how to felting, create a composition with materials and colors from the park, and draw a basket of fruits or veggies to practice shading all in one month!
