TOA Update

Website Redesign

The Town's website recently went through a makeover. Even the Police Department got their own fresh new look!

Staff is still working on developing and adding content and making the menus and navigation easier on you. Tell us what you think so far and how we can do better! We would love to hear from you.

Please check back as the website evolves with more content, information and pictures!

Message from A.D.A.P.T

Greetings Athertonians,
Please join us for our monthly ADAPT (Atherton Disaster and Preparedness Team) Community Meeting this Saturday, May 7th from 9AM to 10:30 AM at the Atherton Council Chambers, 94 Ashfield Road.

Coffee and breakfast munchies are provided by Police Chief McCulley who also attends and briefs us on related Atherton issues.

Learn how to prepare you and your family in the event of a disaster.  The focus of this week’s exercise is working with our neighbors when disaster hits.
See you Saturday.

New Face, Same Great Service

I am pleased to announce that the Town has hired a new front desk Office Specialist/Post Office Attendant.
Francesca Reyes began employment with the Town on  April 23. Francesca has a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services Management from the University of Phoenix.
Francesca’s most recent work experience includes working as an Administrative Assistant in the City Clerk’s Department in Redwood City where she assisted with records management and processing legislative documents. In addition she has experience with Council meetings, minutes, and campaign forms. Furthermore, Francesca is familiar with graphic design concepts and software, organizing and coordinating city events, and developing flyers and educational materials.
Francesca embraced her role in the City Clerks Department while working for Redwood City and grew a real passion for serving the public. Previous to working for Redwood City, Francesca held positions as a probate administrator, relief counselor, server, caregiver and tutor.
Francesca will work the Front Desk/Post Office from 8 am to 5 pm on Monday through Friday. The Town will plan to re-open the Post Office from its current 3 days a week to 5 days a week at the end of the month on May 29. Thank you for your patience during the temporary closure!

June 5, 2018 Statewide Primary

The County Elections Office is preparing for the Statewide Primary on Tuesday June 5, 2018, and has delivered a Black Ballot Box to Atherton City Hall earlier today.

We also have extra supplies such as return envelopes and “I Voted” stickers on hand.

The County Elections Department staff will collect ballots starting May 8th, every four days, during our normal business hours. On May 25th, they will begin collecting ballots every three days.

On Election Day, they will pick up the ballot box from our office at the end of the business day and put a sign on our main door directing voters to the nearest Vote Center.

Thank You!

Thank you for being a part of Atherton Online.

Have a great weekend.
