ADAPT - Here To Help Prepare You


Atherton Disaster and Preparedness Team (ADAPT) has been working hard to help get you connected and stay informed.  ADAPT’s sole mission, in partnership with the Atherton Police Department, is to train and organize Atherton residents to be resilient, response capable and recovery able in the event of a Town-wide emergency or disaster event.

Atherton is divided into 14 emergency assembly areas, each with its own Area Coordinator. To view the map visit the Town's ADAPT webpage.

November 6, 2018 Election


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Statewide General Election will be held in the Town of Atherton, County of San Mateo, California, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. for the election of the following officers:
 
Three (3) Councilmembers for a term of four years.
 
            The filing period for nomination papers, candidate statements and related documents will be available in the Office of the City Clerk, 91 Ashfield Road, Atherton, CA, on Monday, July 16 2018 at 8:00 a.m.  The last date and time for the submission of nomination papers for the aforementioned offices is Friday, August, 10, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. except that in the event an incumbent for any such office does not file nomination papers by that date and time, the period is extended for five days to Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. for said office.
 
            The last day to register to vote in the election to be held November 6, 2018, is October 22, 2018 and is open to all UNITED STATES CITIZENS who will be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of the next election.

Join us for an exciting Summer Concert Series at Holbrook-Palmer Park! Bring your chairs and blankets as the event will be in a grassy area. You are welcome to bring refreshments and snacks but there will be a featured food truck for the night where you can purchase amazing food!

Summer Intern - Laura Roias


The Town is pleased to welcome summer college intern Laura Roias.  Laura is a student at California State University Fullerton where she is studying Public Administration. 

Laura's intern position is being shared with the Menlo Park Fire Protection District and she will be spend about 20 hours a week assisting the Town Administration and the Police Department on different projects including updating and improving the emergency management records and plans.
